Shammi Dhawan, DVM

Dr. Dhawan – who prefers to go by “Dr. Shammi” – joined our practice over a year ago as an emergency veterinarian. Within the past two months, Dr. Shammi was promoted to Senior Emergency Veterinarian, responsible for the management and training of our entire emergency staff. Dr. Shammi has worked in veterinary medicine for more than fifteen years, and always seems to work with a big smile. Clients always enjoy his sunny disposition, and take confidence in his steady, thorough approach to emergency medicine. Dr. Shammi graduated in 1995 in Hisar, India. He completed his bridging program at Ontario Veterinary College in 2007 and his AVMA certification in 2007. Dr. Shammi’s favorite quote, from Albert Einstein, is: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is that nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
